Manufactured from high quality materials, the
clamps have been specially designed to suit ABC
conductors and provide a wide range per clamp to
suit the range of twin and quad bundles.

The smooth round jaw contour provides maximum
contact when used on bare ACSR, aluminium and
standard copper conductors.

Swivels are essential for effective pulling operations
of underground cables and overhead conductors. The
swivels are fitted with bearings to prevent build up of
twist in the cable pulling bond. CBS swivels are
precision manufactured in high-grade steel with a
plated finish. The safe working loads are based on a
factor of safety of 3:1.

A Dynamometer specially designed for accurate
tensioning of overhead line conductors. The units
are very compact and light, yet have an easy read
dial. The accuracy is ±3% of full scale and they are
supplied complete in a heavy-duty leather case.

Connector Assemblies are provided as an
effective method of joining two cable
pulling grips together when pulling O/H
conductors.
This Insulated Connector, designed to meet
‘National Grid Specifications’ has been
designed to insulate the joined Pulling Grips
to stop the transfer of Induced Currents
travelling along the length of conductor.

CBS Aluminium Pole Platforms for varying situations.
All models feature a serrated pole-gripping device
and are light in weight and simple to apply.

non-slip open plate platform.

This pole bogie is fitted with low-pressure tyres to reduce
land damage to a minimum. Ideally suited for transporting
poles across rough terrain or soft ground. The poles are
secured with quick action retaining straps. Also available is
the towing eye and strap for towing by vehicles, and narrow
versions for when restricted access is required.

The CBS Transformer Bogie has been designed to
manually move transformers over short distances
from one location to another by one operator.
The sturdy lightweight all steel construction frame
incorporates a detachable lifting bracket that can
be fitted to any one of four positions to best suit
the transformer being moved. Wide pneumatic
wheels with ball bearing hubs are fitted to aid
travelling especially when on soft terrain.
The operator selects the best position for the
lifting bracket, and then manoeuvres the
transformer bogie into position to locate the lifting
hook into the lifting bracket on the transformer, by
pulling back on the handle the transformer is lifted
clear of the ground, it can be moved to the new
location.

This lightweight Aluminium Crossarm Lifter is ideal
for raising even the largest crossarms to ESI 4340
to the top of any pole.
The lifter, which has a safe weight lift of 100kg,
rests on the pole top and is strapped in position
with a liberally rated chain plus toggle screw.
The Sheave is securely caged to prevent the lifting
rope escaping while in action.

Designed to be attached to a pole to lift the ABC
Conductor out of the running out blocks.
The ABC Conductor is then attached to the pole.

An essential aid for handling staywire coils,
robustly constructed in steel tube having a plated
finish. Removable side arm for ease of loading,
automatically feeds wire as drawn off by operator.

This machine has been designed to measure lengths
of overhead cables. The unit is hung on the cable
and a vertically movable pulley is used to clamp the
measuring wheel to the cable.
A shackle is provided to enable the machine to be
pulled along. A mechanical counter then displays
the length/distance that the machine has moved.
Its primary use is for positioning of spacers on
overhead power lines. Can accommodate cable sizes
between 8 – 43mm diameters.

This scissor action cutter is simple and trouble free
in operation, yet is capable of cutting through steel
rope and ACSR conductors.

The work-positioning belt is intended for the use of
linesmen and other workers required working at
heights on poles or other structures in a supported
position thereby enabling them to have both hands
free for working. (They are not intended for fall
arrest) A D-415-F may also be integrated with a
full body harness, giving full fall arrest protection
combined with a work positioning facility.
The D-415-F is manufactured from strong durable
polyester webbing and is fitted with a wide back
support. A fully adjustable body belt and pole strap
makes it easy for the wearer to obtain a
comfortable fit and at the same time to able to
achieve the correct working position required.
